We have reached a historic tipping point. In times of growing crises, from economic to climate, from migration to pandemic, and now to a war, these events are profoundly changing the way we perceive and experience the world today. Even if many aspects seem too complex, these uncertainties have triggered a significant change in younger generations. Despite emotional stress and information flood, they actively strive for a positive transformation and get politically engaged. Through the power of social media, many are transcending boundaries, forming intergenerational resistance, developing collective strength, and reimagining life.

To drive this force and ensure a sustainable development of our society, our environment and the world we live in today, we urgently need community weavers dedicated to building the commons, drawing on systemic knowledge, transdisciplinary and transformative skills. However, to actively contribute to this development and to act in transdisciplinary collaborations it requires openness, curiosity, constructive dialogue, and both adaptive and integrative knowledge and practice. How can we combine these forces, act collectively and positively transform future conditions? How can we make others aware of fragile realities and reimagine consciousness? The art of conceiving the world poetically and with the senses is a skill. It eludes logic and yet complements it. Transdisciplinarity in this context is a space of encounter, a collective form of learning and engagement. It is both a moment of shared experience and a form of representation and realisation of community.

Highlight:
The Summer School takes place at the same time as the Art Safiental 2022 «Learning from the Earth», from July 2 to September 23, 2022.

Language:
The workshop will be conducted in English and German. An understanding in both languages is necessary.
